I've decided that I think Sofi is ready for more structure and planned outings, so I'm trying to plan a weekly outing for us. Our KC Circle classes will count as outings. We are going to ride the city bus, at Sofi's request, next week. But after that I'm kind of stumped. We never really did outings when I was a kid, so I can't draw on that for ideas. Aand a lot of outings are just too intense/overstimulating for my kids just yet (think Cocoa Keys or concerts). So, what kinds of outings would be appropriate for 2 quiet, non-tv watching kids who are interested in nature, beauty and animals? And I would need to be able to bring a 2 year old and 4 year old to any outing, and possibly an infant as well.

Passport to Adventure.
Most stops are nature centers and you can take a nice nature walk and see the animals. You don't have to turn it in or get stamps but it would give you names of places, a brief overview of what it is and the address.

Not a problem. Enjoy! We did all the sites last year and we have visited most at least 3 times.
