I'm so excited with our outdoor play area! I always have been, but this summer has been even better than previous years. We have 2 wooden swings now, hanging from one of the big trees. We have the sand pit, which every kid who has ever visited has gone nuts over. We have a miniature patio set that the kids are super excited over. We have a wooden wheelbarrow, a low wooden cart which the kids call the mower, a metal wagon, a bike and a tricycle. We have plenty of digging and gardening implements. Right now we have 2 4x4s that are approximately 4 feet long for balance beams, and 3 logs in graduated sizes in a row for the kids to climb up and jump off the end. And for the first time today, Sofi climbed the little dogwood tree! Ok, she had a lot of coaching, but she got it! And then there is also the low clothesline and small clothespin bag for helping to hang the laundry. Along with plenty of sidewalk chalk and a small slide, there isn't much a kid could miss! Ok, maybe it would be nice to have a ball or two, but the dog thinks any ball is his and he is constantly bursting any ball we get for the kids.

I must say you do have a pretty impressive outdoor play area! It's neat to watch the kids have so much fun with it!
I think the only thing missing is a slide coming down from the roof! You should work on that next... :-*

It needs a small area that has building materials. Boards that are notched so they can make a small playhouse but take it down when they are done.

LOL! Micah wants to know which roof you are thinking of. I was thinking at the tallest point of your house... maybe throw in a couple of loops for good measure.

Micah is working on measuring the van to see if the plywood for the permanent playhouse will fit in or if we will need the trailer. Then we are of to the Habitat ReStore and Lowes!
