This was our first year trying our hand at gardening and I am really pleased with the results.  Although we had a few casualties, overall I think we did pretty well.  Our best crops were the tomatoes and edamame.  The cilantro did amazingly well and the carrots did great (which I used to make some organic homemade baby food for the boy which I was really excited about!)  I'm looking forward to next year with the little experience we gained as well as more time to hopefully dedicate to the garden I think it will turn out even better!

Sounds like you all had a good year!

Ours was a bit of a mess. We used the square foot method and well, the book was wrong on so many counts. We are not getting a  good yield because our boxes were over planted (we planted following their directions) and some of the plants didn't have room to grow. I can't wait until next year when we will have so much more room!

Our plants look great, but we have nearly no produce to show for it.  Oh well.  The chickens have gotten to enjoy the greenery.  Tongue
