Because we will not be here for most of October and November I wanted to throw this out now. Bodhi Day I am very interested in doing a festival for Bodhi Day. I am willing to plan the event and have a story, activity and a snack (and I am confident I can get directions to for a snack that fits all allergy's.) Is there interest in this?

It is the Buddhist holiday that commemorates the day that the Buddha experienced enlightenment.

I was thinking of making a tree in a pot and the kids could decorate the tree but room would be left so that the children could include tree decorations for holidays that occur later in the month since many celebrations in December have trees as a part of them.

Ooo, I'd love to have a day that celebrates enlightenment! It's 2 days after St. Nicholas day (which will be a big one for us, since Bailey's in his 2nd grade yr & learning about Saints). And this is one day after a really great day in the history of my family (my mama cita's b-day~ w/out which I'd not be here ;o) So many holidays & festivals in the cold months (to keep us sane ;o) Back to topic ~ what kind of story follows w/ such an event?
