I mentioned Coins in the Cattle Round up game I thought I would go more indepth here.
Any branch or tree trunk can be used to make coins. You just take a branch or trunk and saw it into 1/2-1 inch thick pieces. You want them to be dry. I put mine in my dehydrator but you can put them int he overn on low witht he door open. It can take 24-72 hours to fully dry. Sanding is also an option. I decided against sanding, I debating on it for a long time and finally decided that since there wasn't a way for little fingers to get splinters I left it unsanded.
They make great game pieces, stacking toys, plates, pretend money and if you want to you can drill holes in the center to make buttons.

Awesome, Nessa! I hadn't ever really thought of making small ones before. I'll have to have Micah make more.
