I've got our rhythm going much better lately (you should see how clean my house is!), and I'm trying to work circle time in. There is plenty of time to do it, but the when is evading me. Do you lead into something with it? Close something out? Just do it in the middle of the day to touch base?

I guess I need to read a book or something....b/c I don't even know what circle time is exactly. I got all excited when the library's online catalog said they had "You are your child's first teacher" but when I got there it wasn't on the shelf, and the librarian said it hadn't been checked out in 16 years so they would have purged it by now.

Awww. I've got a copy you can borrow. Circle time is when you sit down with the kids in a circle and sing songs, do finger plays, movement activities, that sort of thing.

Ok, I've been a total slacker about this lately. We use to do it in the morning after breakfast. I think I'll start doing it in the afternoon, after lunch and outdoor play. Plus when new babe arrives it would be nice to do it after an afternoon nap (for her) so we could all reconnect.
