Title: Re: What animals do you raise? Post by: MommyPants on August 22, 2010, 09:21:37 pm :) Simple is good! I have long said I don't know how one has toddlers without a dog to clean up the floor, but then I spend so much time sweeping dog hair that I'm not sure I come out ahead. ;)

Title: Re: What animals do you raise? Post by: Lindsay on August 22, 2010, 11:23:21 pm I have never in my life not had animals around. I'm not sure I would know what to do without them. I used to think this until I had Sebastian... and now, just about every ounce of energy, patience and care goes towards him and I can finally picture life without a dog at my feet. :) (Although I have always been a big animal lover.) We had two cats and a dog but when the baby arrived we had to rehome the cats due to safety reasons. So now we are down to the one dog. Title: Re: What animals do you raise? Post by: MommyPants on August 23, 2010, 09:27:46 pm I just can't wait until the chickens start laying! 8) I keep checking every day, but we are really only at the lower age range that they start laying. But probably some time this month!!

Title: Re: What animals do you raise? Post by: unschoolbus on August 26, 2010, 11:21:13 pm Here are the directions from a friend of mine:
Get a pot of water. Add the eggs and a dash of salt. Set the timer for 25-30 minutes and walk away. Do not even think of removing the eggs until the 25 minute marker. It can take a little longer if the egg was laid within the last 8 hours. Title: Re: What animals do you raise?
